Digital amplifier - planned for 2012
Public funding was approved for the innovative approach of our remote-controllable digital amplifier monobloc,
in which DA conversion will take place right at the loudspeaker.
Digital amplifiers partly have the reputation that they sound cool and thus non-musical. This prejudice originates
from the starting time of this type of devices and reminds of what CD players were largely rightly accused of in the
eighties. This changed both in the case of CD players and digital amplifiers. Exceptions prove the rule. The fact
that digital amplifiers usually sound much cleaner than analogue amplifiers causes confusion especially among adherents
of the analogue school, who often mix up the muddy sound of amplifiers with a warm sound sensation.
The digital amplifiers from FÖRSTER AUDIOTECHNIK sound clean, almost transparent like a clear mountain lake, but
convey in those places where it has been recorded also exactly the amount of warmth in sound which the artist wanted
to have upon recording. Nothing more and nothing less.
Our digital amplifier will be ready to go into serial production from mid-2012.
